This journal, created in 1986, has become the vector of communication for Maghreb researchers and scientists. Since its creation, the summaries of all its issues have been provided by Algerian, Moroccan and Tunisian authors.

Médecine d'Afrique Noire is the first international african medical journal in french language. Created in 1953 by Pierre Pène and Maurice Payet, the traditional paper edition is published regularly every month and is distributed worldwide. Since 2003, it's electronic edition has given the journal a global visibility.
Created in 1953 at the opening of the Faculty of Medicine of Dakar, it was for more than ten years the only scientific and medical publication of the countries of French speaking Africa. Even today, after 65 of uninterrupted publication, Médecine d'Afrique Noire remains one of the only titles dealing exclusively with tropical health.
